1. 14-Day Right to Cancel & Returns (Unused Products)
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you change your mind, you may return unused items under the following terms:
-
Cancellation Period: You have 14 days from the date of physical delivery to notify LOF Clutches (or your official distributor) that you wish to return an item.
-
Condition: Items must be returned unused, uninstalled, unopened, and in their original packaging suitable for resale.
-
Return Shipping Costs: You are responsible for the cost of returning unused items to LOF. We strongly recommend using a tracked, insured courier service.
-
Refunds: Once inspected and approved, we will issue a refund for the returned items. Standard outbound shipping costs will be refunded in accordance with statutory rights; upgraded or premium delivery costs are non-refundable.
2. LOF 2-Year / 20,000-Mile Limited Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our engineering. We offer a 2-Year or 20,000-Mile (30,000 km) Limited Warranty (whichever occurs first) from the original date of purchase across all LOF branded products.
2.1 Coverage
-
This warranty covers defects arising purely from faulty materials or manufacturing workmanship (e.g., brake pad delamination, faulty caliper seals, disc casting defects, or clutch friction plate bond failures).
-
It does not cover normal wear and tear expected during the operational life of a vehicle component. The natural depletion of friction material on brake pads, brake shoes, clutch discs, and flywheels is strictly excluded unless caused by a proven manufacturing defect.
2.2 Exclusions & Void Criteria
The warranty will be void, and claims will be rejected, under any of the following circumstances:
-
Incorrect Fitment: Damage resulting from incorrect installation, poor workmanship, or failure to strictly follow vehicle manufacturer specifications (torque settings, bedding-in procedures) and LOF installation guides. (While professional installation at a recognised workshop is strongly recommended, DIY installations must strictly adhere to OEM vehicle manufacturer procedures).
-
Misuse, Abuse & Lack of Maintenance: Damage caused by improper operation, overheating due to driver error, improper bedding-in of clutches or brake friction materials, or the use of incorrect, old, or contaminated hydraulic/brake fluid.
-
External Vehicle Faults: Uneven brake wear or disc warping caused by sticking calipers, seized slider pins, faulty master cylinders, or worn suspension components. Clutch damage caused by faulty spigot bearings, worn dual-mass flywheels, or oil seal leaks.
-
Vehicle Modifications: Use on vehicles modified beyond the torque, horsepower, or towing specifications designed for the specific LOF product installed.
-
Off-Road Competition & Motorsport: Vehicle use in formal racing, competitive off-roading, track events, or extreme applications outside normal road/greenlaning use.
-
Incorrect Selection: Parts selected incorrectly without using LOF’s official catalogue, cross-reference databases, or direct technical advice provided by LOF Clutches.
2.3 Consequential Loss & Labour Claims
-
This warranty covers the replacement or credit of the defective LOF component only.
-
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LOF Clutches accepts no liability for secondary or consequential costs, including but not limited to garage labour fees, vehicle recovery, vehicle hire, loss of use, or damage to associated drivetrain, suspension, or engine components.
3. International Orders, Customs & Taxes
-
Import Duties & Local Taxes: For orders shipped outside the United Kingdom (including the European Union and Rest of World), prices charged at checkout do not include local import VAT, customs duties, or clearance administration fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.
-
Refused Deliveries: If a shipment is returned to LOF because the customer refused to pay local customs duties/taxes or failed to arrange delivery, LOF reserves the right to deduct all return courier fees, administrative charges, and original shipping costs from any refund issued.
4. Warranty Claim Procedure & Technical Reports
4.1 How to File a Claim
-
Pre-Authorisation: Claims (especially international claims) must be pre-authorised before returning parts. Contact LOF Clutches or your distributor to initiate a claim.
-
Submission: The complete kit/component must be returned as supplied, accompanied by a completed Warranty Claim Form detailing vehicle registration, current mileage, installation date, and a description of the issue.
-
Return Customs Declaration (Non-UK Returns): Customers returning items from outside the UK for warranty inspection or cancellation must clearly state on all courier documentation and customs labels (CN22/CN23): “RETURNED GOODS - FAILED SALE / WARRANTY RETURN”. LOF is not responsible for UK import duties caused by incorrect customs declarations and will deduct these costs from any settlement.
4.2 Inspection Findings & Transparency
Returned components undergo physical and laboratory testing. If a claim is rejected due to external damage, incorrect installation, or an underlying vehicle fault:
-
We will provide a detailed Examination Report, including machine test printouts, technical bulletins, and high-resolution photographic evidence.
-
Our aim is to provide technical clarity to help resolve root-cause vehicle faults (such as leaking crankshaft seals or sticking calipers) and prevent repeat component failures.
5. Statutory Rights
This policy is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or applicable EU Consumer Directives.
