Nissan Navara Clutch Kits

The Nissan Navara, or Nissan Frontier in the American market, is a mid-sized pickup truck made by Japanese car manufacturers Nissan Motors. The car was first produced in 1985 and is the name of the four generations of pickup trucks the D21, D22, D40 and D23.

The Nissan Navara D21, the original Navara, was produced from 1985 -1996 and was the successor of the Nissan Datsun. The D21 was fitted with a 2.4-litre 124 hp engine, available in two cab sizes to the Japanese market, with the American market having a ‘King Cab’ design which featured a unique hood design and wider front guard. A few countries had the option to all cab sizes of the D21.

The first generation, D22, was a compact pickup truck that was in production from 1997 – 2004, the D22 came with a variety of engine sizes including a 2.5-Litre incline 4 diesel engine and a 2.5-litre incline 4 turbo diesel. In 2000 the D22 receive a facelift, the new style Navara was designed to appeal to a younger audience than it had previously.

In 2004 the all new, Navara D40, second generation was released as a bigger shaped mid-sized pickup truck, however Nissan continued to make the D22 to offer a more affordable alternative to the now new D40. The Navara D40 came with a 2.5-litre diesel engine in Europe with the option to have 142hp or 172hp, there were a few variations in different markets around world, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South America all having access to a 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel as well as the V6 petrol engine.

The third generation of the Navara, the D23, was unveiled in 2014 and is the current generation of Navara. The third generation offers four engine sizes, a 2.5-litre petrol, a 2.3-litre turbo diesel engine, a 2.3-litre twin turbo diesel engine and a 2.5-litre turbo diesel. The third generation is set for a facelift that first went on sale in early 2021, and set for the European market in late 2021.
